There are various reasons for using a headphone amplifier:
- The voltage level on the player is too low and therefore the volume emitted from the headphones is too low. It sounds too quiet.
- The transmission properties of the headphone output on the player are not satisfactory (e.g. distortion, limited frequency response, noise, artefacts, low channel separation).
- You want to have a specific sound influence.
Beyerdynamic headphone amplifiers satisfy points 1 and 2 particularly well. However, as we simultaneously want to offer devices that are as neutral as possible, point 3 should not be a criterion when selecting our devices.
Our headphone amplifiers also allow you to operate headphones with high impedances (e.g. 600 ohms) without any problems.
