While the design of Phonum was very functional, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX was designed to be more integrated in terms of the design. Furthermore, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX is available in two colours: Charcoal and Nordic Grey.
Regarding the sound, Phonum and beyerdynamic SPACE MAX could not be more different. While the sound of Phonum was focused on speech, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX offers a Music and Voice Mode, which are activated automatically depending on the situation. When using the Music Mode, the sound of the loudspeaker is very dynamic with a pleasant bass response, while the sound of the Voice Mode is focused on speech. Depending on whether you are in a call or listening to music, the appropriate mode is automatically activated.
When it comes to picking up sound via the microphone, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX offers the 360° SMART MIC TECHNOLOGY, which ensures that incoming sound is recognised as either being speech or noise, using beamforming technology and state-of-the-art signal processing.
In addition, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX made sure that further features were implemented: For example, Google Fast Pair ensures fast pairing with the smartphone.
The Kensington Lock is a standardised anti-theft protection, which is particularly beneficial when using the device in meeting rooms in office buildings.
Due to the antibacterial textile, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX is also a hygienic option for private as well as professional environments.
The Conference Cascade Mode offers the possibility to connect two beyerdynamic SPACE MAX via SPACE MAX cascade cables (optionally available) and to expand conference scenarios e.g. in larger rooms.
Furthermore, beyerdynamic SPACE MAX offers a powerbank mode that can be used to connect and charge smartphones via USB-C.
