HEADPHONE LAB simulates the acoustic behaviour of a high-quality studio, including its loudspeaker system. It provides a reproducible, virtual reference studio environment over headphones and enables precise mixing and mastering without an acoustically treated room.
The crossfeed model:
- accounts for frequency‑dependent time and level differences
- uses industry‑leading HRTFs
- employs an innovative approach for exceptional bass reproduction free from artefacts or phase issues
This avoids an unnaturally wide, hard‑to‑judge stereo image and creates a clearly centred, natural sound image with realistic stereo imaging, depth perception, and panning accuracy.
Adjustable Parameters
- Loudspeaker angle (40°, 60°, 80°) to adapt to your existing system or go with the standard loudspeaker placement of 60°.
- Room simulation: continuously adjustable from Dry (0%) to Wet (100).
- Ear spacing & head circumference - compensates time differences individually for more realistic and precise loudspeaker perception.
Level Meter
The orange arcs, symbolising the loudspeakers, function as level meters as well. Additionally, there is level clip indicator at the end of the level meter.
